The ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture honour the best of the best. Our internationally respected, impartial design and architecture competition honours holistic projects in the fields of architecture, interior architecture, product design and brand co妹妹unication.
Aging population is a major social problem in the 21st century. At present, the aging trend of Chinese population is gradually intensified, and the aged group has become a vulnerable group in the society. In order to provide a comfortable family environment for the local elderly, and give them humanized nursing services, so that the quality of life of the elderly could be improved.
Located in Beijiao Town, Shunde District, Foshan City, Guangdong Province, China, adjacent to two lingnan characteristic parks，Hetai Center is a co妹妹unity integration entertainment rehabilitation pension complex, creating a new pension model.
Humanized design and barrier-free design are integrated throughout the district, and local art and cultural memory symbols are introduced to assist the elderly to embrace a new life with the combination of rehabilitation concept and healing garden.
In terms of the design for the self-care living area, some rooms will be used as hotels to provide short-term care for the elderly. The nursing living area has placed the seniors with disability and with dementia on different floors to enable specialized care. In the living room for the elderly with dementia, purposefully it has no open balcony to ensure safety. In addition, Hetai nursing center has also added the living area for those with certain level of ability in caring themselves, and it’s located between the self-care and nursing areas, and the beds can also be used for other living areas flexibly.
By following the writing morphology of the Chinese character “和” in the design process, architects give this composite space an eye-catching and interesting taste. When looked down, the dendritic architectural form makes the tower look like a flourishing and evergreen pine, while the ∞-shaped podium buildings symbolize infinity, continuity, and vitality.
Modern international building facade 抽水肥,shape, smooth curve form intertwined to form multi-level, open platform, dynamic courtyard garden, with elderly outpatient service, restaurants, performing arts hall, day care center, university of old age, wisdom, exhibit, intelligence activity area, etc., dotted with local art oyster shell wall sign, build "fusion type entertainment co妹妹unity rehabilitation endowment heddle area".
Refine the soft lines of the local intangible cultural heritage "Xiangyun Yarn", the texture of water town and the elements of ancient villages, and interpret the modern lifestyle with local landscape language.
The local historical building materials are excavated and recycled. The oyster shell bearing regional cultura中醫治療濕疹,l characteristics is turned 氣密窗，into red sa龜山抽化糞池,ndstone, and the ancient technology is used to build the masonry, so as to reproduce the evolution and development of lingnan historical building materials and tell them the history.
Create nodal spaces such as comprehensive activity space, bonsai garden, Cantonese opera field, Buddhist niche, and healing garden to enhance the adaptability of the elderly to climate change and self-psychological adjustment ability.
In Lingnnan，it’s quite important for buildings to have abundant lighting and ventilation. With this considered, the architectural shape design has appropriately used single-corridor and double-corridor layouts, and such curved shape has secured more lighting for the building. On each floor, the curved parts vary in the size and volume and different functional clusters have mixed in between, creating the rooftop garden and leisure space for different user groups.
Improve the wind environment of the site through three-dimensional vertical green space and patio art atrium, regulate the temperature and humidity microclimate of the site, and enhance the air quality. Alleviate urban rainfall and flooding, and supplement and improve the municipal sponge system.
Humanized care and details such as barrier-free design, more rigorous in the selection of materials, plant species and construction techniques, in order to achieve both aesthetic and easy to use for the elderly.
The open garden has become the outdoor space for the elderly to take a walk and enjoy their leisure time. In addition, there are also other spaces created to cater to the elderly’s various needs, such as central courtyard, terrace, aerial gallery, public balcony in the nursing section, and private balcony in the living rooms.
The third floor between the living building and public areas connects the garden on the open floor to the aerial garden on the podium building, enabling the elderly to directly walk to the garden. The living area for those with senile dement減肥飲料,ia is placed on the top floors, making it easier for the patients to walk to the rooftop garden and for the nursers to take care of the elderly in a better way.
